What is your approach to gender affirming care?

Owl & Eagle Health and Wellness follows World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) guidelines and the informed consent model. The informed consent model respects your autonomy and self-determination, and assumes you are the expert on your own needs. We follow the informed consent model when providing psychiatric treatment and hormone therapy. Following WPATH guidelines is required for health insurance companies to cover gender affirming surgeries, and by most surgeons who perform gender affirming surgeries. Owl & Eagle Health and Wellness providers support patients as they navigate the sometimes complex and frustrating processes involved in obtaining gender affirming surgeries.

A variety of methods are available, including pills, injections, patches, and topical creams.

Letters of support

Your psychiatric nurse practitioner and psychotherapist can also provide gender marker change letters, anti-discrimination letters for work or school, and referral letters for gender-affirming surgeries.
